Mark Kozelek has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard! I've been binging on these two albums lately, I guess because when I listen to them, I can't really bring myself to listen to anything else. There's always this lingering letdown I get after a song finishes, and the only thing that can really bring my spirits back up is listening to the next one. In due course, I end up looping the albums for hours on end.
The first one listed is April, a collection of Kozelek's own material -and I say 'own material' because the second album, Tiny Cities, is actually a collective of Modest Mouse covers. Of course, I prefer to listen to April most of the time. Even though Tiny Cities is still very beautiful, it's sometimes awkward to listen to Kozelek's slowed-down, folky versions of Isaac's original work. Though, I think it's still an album worth listening to; you'll have to adjust to his style.
Enjoyyy.
