Huevos (meaning "eggs" or "genitals" in Spanish) was created as an outlet of recommendations for friends and has since developed into a web-zine focusing on music & events in Louisville. I work really hard to keep absolute variety, so anything goes. In addition to the published work here, I am also a contributor to A Future In Noise, Louisville.com, LEO Weekly and holding a position as web editor of The Louisville Cardinal. Remember to support these artists: buy physical copies and merch, go to shows, etc. If anyone has an issue with something I post and wants me to take it down, please drop a comment and I will gladly remove whatever it is. That's generally something I appreciate.

Many thanks to Nathan Rich for assistance in designing this site. And of course to the Meat Puppets album Huevos for the name and artwork used in this design.
About the album "HUEVOS"
When Curt Kirkwood received a fan letter from Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, he was inspired into a songwriting binge that eventually cumulated into the songs on Huevos. It was the Meat Puppets’ 5th studio release since their debut in '82 and around this time Kurt Cobain was still playing punk music in Fecal Matter. The album owes much of its influence to ZZ Top, but it is translated into the desert funkus style that made Meat Puppets a widely celebrated act to come from Arizona's punk scene. In the process of creating this website, I wanted to pay homage to an artist that carried over during my transitional years as I became a more open-minded music listener. One of them that really stuck for me was Meat Puppets and it all peaked when I witnessed this up close during a free gig at Waterfront Park. It's also about eggs, and breakfast, the most sacred and delicious meal of your day.
